Smart has released a video on the new ForTwo Electric Drive, now ready for commercial debut. The small German eco-car is equipped with a permanent magnet engine by 55 kW and 130 Nm, which provides a maximum speed of 120 km/h and acceleration-shoot worthy of note. It should be emphasized that the lithium ion battery has a capacity of 17.6 kWh. There will also be a sportier version, again with zero emissions, represented by Brabus ForTwo Electric Drive.
The same electric module is also adopted on the Smart For-Us, unveiled for the last Detroit Motor Show. This mini mini pick-up 3:55 measuring meters in length, 1.51 meters wide and 1.70 meters in height. The step of 2.48 meters (613 mm compared to the sedan) and the track increases of 50 mm on each side. Moreover, through the rear flap, which can be operated electrically, it can access a platform 900 mm long, able to move back other 280 mm during the phases of the load.
Finally we must remember the latest news of the House, exposed during the Geneva Motor Show. At the fair in Switzerland, in addition to the Smart For Us and Brabus Electric Drive, were exposed to 3.0 and the Smart ForTwo Smart Sharpred. The 3.0, a new look compared to the previous version, the bodywork features seven colors with three different designs for the alloy wheels. The Sharpred is a special edition of 3.0, characterized by black and red livery and produced in 1800 copies.
