Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza will continue his bid for a third term in power, dismissing calls by protestors who have clashed with police for three days, a spokesman said Tuesday.
"We won't back down, that is out of the question," his spokesman, Willy Nyamitwe, told AFP, warning that demonstrators risked plunging the country back into civil war.
