The Islamic State jihadist group on Monday claimed blasts that hit two regime bastion cities on Syria's Mediterranean coast, the IS-affiliated Amaq news agency said.
"Attacks by IS fighters hit Alawite gatherings in Tartus and Jableh on the Syria coast," the news agency said on Twitter, referring to the minority from which President Bashar al-Assad hails.
