Egypt's constitution has been provisionally suspended as part of a political roadmap, army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has announced. During a statement on national television al-Sisi also confirmed that the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court will take charge for an interim period until a new president is elected in an early presidential election.
