German stocks extended their earlier losses and fell by more than 3.0 percent in late afternoon trading on Monday on the Frankfurt stock exchange, weighed down by a heavy sell-off in New York.
The blue-chip DAX 30 index tumbled 3.3 percent to an intraday low of 9,239.19, adding to their heavy losses on Friday in the wake of Britain's vote to quit the European Union.
