Police on Saturday arrested Al-Jazeera's Ahmed Mansour at a Berlin airport, the journalist said via Twitter, after Germany acted on an international arrest warrant issued by his home country Egypt.
"I am still under arrest at Berlin airport, waiting to be taken before an investigating judge," Mansour wrote on his Twitter account.
German federal police confirmed a 52-year-old journalist travelling to Doha had been arrested at Berlin Tegel airport.
