Malian armed forces on Saturday ended a hostage-taking at a hotel in the centre of the country that left at least seven people dead, military sources told AFP.
The military operation at the Hotel Byblos in Sevare that is popular with UN staff "has ended and the hotel has been cleared", one of the sources said.
