The campaign to keep Britain in the European Union has a narrow lead, according to a new opinion poll released Thursday as Britons voted in a tight referendum.
The Ipsos MORI poll for the Evening Standard newspaper put "Remain" on 52 percent and "Leave" on 48 percent, sending the pound soaring against the dollar.
Polling was carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday.
