The United States is ready to help South East Asian countries "bear the burden" of a wave of sea-borne refugees, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said Wednesday.
Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken is in the region and will meet with Myanmar authorities to urge them to improve the conditions that "drive people to risk their lives at sea," she said.
