Pirates hijacked a Turkish oil tanker off the Gabon coast, West Africa.
Turkish firm Geden Lines, which owns the MV Cotton named the Malta-flagged vessel, stated that the ship was attacked by pirates near the Gentil Port.
It was noted that contact had been lost with the vessel since Sunday. The ship had Indian crew of 24 on board.
The firm added that they were in contact with the families of the crew members and authorities.
