Industry Minister Munir Fakhry Abdel Nour said Egypt seeks more trade cooperation with African countries, noting that "the trade volume with these countries is not up to the level of our close ties".
Speaking on Wednesday at a workshop at Cairo University, the minister said economic developments require achieving economic integration among African countries.
"Egypt is a key player in development in Africa," he said, noting that Egypt backs the African countries' issues at the international arena.
