Cairo Governor Galal Moustafa said on Saturday that two housing projects for slum residents would be handed over before the end of this year.
The two projects, built in el Mokattam provide 11,310 units and cost EGP 1.3 billion.
The governor made the remarks during a tour made by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to inspect work at the projects.
The projects are part of a plan to solve slum crisis in Cairo.
