Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab ordered on Wednesday upgrading Egypt's ancient popular districts and providing them with all kinds of services.
The ministers of youth, heath, culture and housing visited such neighborhoods as part of an initiative launched by the cabinet earlier, he said.
Mahlab noted that the trade and social solidarity ministers will visit such districts in the coming period to support small-sized industries and provide social protection for residents there.
