Fifty-five ships, with a total cargo of 3.3 million tons, transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday.
The north-bound convoy included 27 vessels carrying 1.5 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
On the other hand, the south-bound convoy included 28 ships carrying 1.8 million tons.
