Gross external debt of Albania amounted to 6.6 billion euros (7.55 billion U.S. dollars) at the end of 2014, Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said on Sunday.
The largest part of the external debt is owned by general government sector, followed by the banking sector. About 80 percent of the external debt consists of long-term debt.
INSTAT further said the reserve assets in end of 2014 were 2.2 billion euros, or enough to cover 5.5 months of imports of goods and services.
