The benchmark index EGX 30 retreated 0.64 percent down to 9,773.76 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) declined 0.45 percent to 573.97 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 0.53 percent taking the index down to 1,138.85 points.
