The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost some 12.4 billion pounds at the close of trading on Tuesday pushed by Arab sales.
The main benchmark EGX 30 index went down by 2.58 percent reaching 7,398.43 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) dropped by 2.44 percent recording 418.06 points.
The overall EGX 100 index declined 1.73 percent reaching 879.89 points.
