Outgoing Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud said on Monday that despite the difficult economic conditions prevailing in Lebanon and their impact on the tourism sector, "Lebanon will not capitulate and it will continue to fight."
"We believe in Lebanon and its role. We seek to maintain our presence on this earth. This is our message to the enemies of Lebanon," he said at the inauguration of an agricultural and industrial exhibition in Mayrouba.
Separately, the Minister expressed his sympathy with the families of the victims of the Rweis bombing.
"We are at a difficult stage which impacts on tourism, especially in the shadow of a boycott from several countries prohibiting the travel of their nationals to Lebanon. We do not know the goals of their boycott," he concluded, calling on the Arab countries to resume dialogue with Lebanon in order to solve this important issue.
