Ziya Altunyildiz, undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade, stated on Monday that they would increase cooperation between Turkish and Palestinian customs.
"Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance" was signed between the Turkish and Palestinian authorities in Ankara.
Stating that solution of the problems of the Palestinians would economically develop the region, Altunyildiz said, "The convention we signed will initiate an active cooperation between Palestine and Turkey. It will also provide a basis for developing the economic standards of Palestinians as well as transforming Palestine to an investment area."
