The Israeli occupation army resumed the bloody onslaught on Gaza Strip following the elapse of the three-day humanitarian ceasefire on Friday morning.
At least five Palestinians were killed and 30 others injured as a result of the Israeli artillery, naval and air attacks on several parts of the Strip, medical source said here.
An Israeli drone attack killed three members of same family in Al-Qarrareh village, to the east of the southern town of Khan Yunis this evening; the victims are Mahmoud, Suleiman and Khaled Abu-Haddaf.
Another air attack on Al-Nor Al-Mohammadi Mosque in Sheikh Radwan district of Gaza killed Ibrahim Al-Dawawseh, an eight-year old boy, this afternoon while a similar attack injured seven people in the southern town of Bani Suhaila.
Earlier today an artillery bombardment on Al-Saberin mosque, northeast Rafah city, killed Ahmad Na'iem Okal, 22, and wounded three others.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesperson said dozens of missiles were fired from Gaza Strip into Ashkelon, Sderot and Beersheba as well as other southern cities this evening.
Four Israelis were injured and several houses were damaged in the missile attacks, the spokesperson told Israel radio.
Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu-Zuhri blamed the failure to extend the brief truce on the Israeli maneuvering and procrastination during the Egyptian-mediated talks in Cairo.
Today's casualties took the number of Palestinian victims of the Israeli aggression which started on July 8 to 1,898 deaths and 9,837 wounded, according to statistics of the Ministry of Health here.
