At least 23 militants were killed when armed clashes erupted between Taliban and Daesh affiliates in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, the local Khaama reported Friday.
Local government officials said the clashes erupted late on Thursday in Pichegram district.
Provincial police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqwal said several houses were torched during the clashes.
Several civilians and members of the two groups were injured, he added.
