At least 11 militiamen loyal to Houthis and former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh were killed in Al Bayda Governorate, in an ambush staged by the public committees resistance.
Senior Houthi field leader Abu Zeid al Omrani was among the killed militiamen, the public resistance committees said.
The militias responded to the resistance operation by randomly shelling of districts in the governorate with artillery and Katyusha rockets.
