Iraqi warjets shelled a Daesh post in Huweijah, southwestern Kirkuk, killing 37 Daesh elements, a military command media office said in a statement late on Wednesday.
Two Daesh leaders; namely Abu Omar al Tunsi and Abu Walid al Zarqani, were among those killed.
Meanwhile, Daesh elements attacked posts of the Kurdish peshmerga in western Kirkuk, northern Iraq.
No peshmerga casualties were reported, a Kurdish military source said.
