Three Algerian novels were selected at the 2nd Prize for Arabic Literature created by the French Foundation Jean-Luc Lagardére and the Arab World Institute of Paris, said Tuesday the event’s organizers.  
“Alger, le cri” (Algiers, the cry) by Samir Toumi, “Jiwel ou l'Alchimie du bonheur" (The Alchemy of happiness) by Abd-El-Kader Benatia were officially selected at the prize which retained six titles of writers from the member countries of the Arab League.
“Orders and secrets” by Moroccan Reem Laghrari Benmehrez, “The Guardians of the air” by Syrian Rosa Yassin Hassan, “The Crossing of KO” by Egyptian Mohamed al-Fakharany and “The Job” by Moroccan Reda Dalil are other titles which will compete for this prize which will be given on 26 September 2014.
The “Prize of the Arabic Literature” will be given by a jury made up of « personalities from the world of media, arts and culture as well as specialists from the world countries,” said the event’s organizers.
