Nasr Party has hailed an initiative floated by Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayyeb to prohibit bloodletting between Sunni and Shiite Muslims.
Tayyeb suggests Sunni and Shiite scholars to meet to issue a fatwa to that effect.
Senior member of Nasr Party Mustafa Yassin expressed support for the initiative.
He hailed its timing, saying it comes as extremists instigate bloodletting between Sunni and Shiite Muslims.
