"The Transitive Nightfall of Diamonds"
London - Arab Today

After divorcing his wife of 13 years, author Fred Schrott became angry at the world. His therapist suggested he try journaling his thoughts, but Schrott took a different approach and began writing offbeat poetry.
His new poetry collection, “The Transitive Nightfall of Diamonds: A Collection of Bad-Boy Poetry and Other Assorted Fish Tales” (published by iUniverse), unleashes Schrott’s inner bad boy, who is not afraid to show his dry humor and inner demons on the page.
Schrott defines his “bad-boy poetry” and songs as unconventional and almost psychedelic. He gets most of his inspiration from catch phrases, which he hears on television or the radio and immediately writes down. He later builds his poems and songs around them.
The poems reflect the inner workings of Schrott’s mind as he dealt with divorce, mental illness, a mid-life crisis and recovery. He touches on themes of anger, depression, youth and lust, all mixed with a twist of humor and wit. Though often personal, Schrott believes there is something for everyone within his book.
