Designs of 6 Emirati artists have won the Adu Dhabi Art Wings Project
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today
Abu Dhabi Art continues to set the stage for a global event of art, design and culture through a diverse programme of regional and international work, talks, performances and local talent. The Abu Dhabi Art Wings Project, a significant part of the Design Programme, has successfully created a platform for Emirati artists and designers to showcase their talent to an international audience.
In its fifth year now, the Wings Project provides an opportunity for 6 winners to have their designs selected and applied across the Abu Dhabi Art collateral.
"The Wings Project has become synonymous with the Abu Dhabi Art programme and provides encouragement to young artists and designers as well as supporting the local art community," says Alanood Al Hammadi, Senior Exhibitor Relations, Abu Dhabi Art. "This project was devised to illustrate the talent that is plentiful throughout the U.A.E., and introduce young Emirati artist and designers to the art world, and the vast opportunities that are available." Submissions are now open for artistic impressions based around the ‘wing' of the Abu Dhabi Art logo. Deadline for applications is 30 August, 2014.
