Egypt's Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa underscored the importance of boosting cooperation between religious institutions in Islamic countries to counter extremism ideology.
Gomaa was speaking during a meeting here on Wednesday with Vice-President of the International University of Africa Samir Qorashi.
Gomaa expressed willingness to cooperate with the Sudanese university and provide it with the Awqaf Ministry's various publications.
Qorashi, for his part, voiced hope to make an official deal with the Egyptian ministry on cultural and scientific cooperation.
