Kuwait University (KU) President Dr. Abdullateef Al-Bader said Tuesday KU was developing new post-graduate programs to cope with renowned universities around the world.
"For us to reach an international and prestigious educational level, we need to review the problems facing KU and then solve these academic problems," Al-Bader said in a meeting between KU College of Graduate Studies and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
He said KU needed to focus more on its post-graduate programs.
Dean of College of Graduate Studies Dr. Fareeda Al-Awadhi said they sought to establish solid cooperation with KNPC in different domains particularly the development of human resources.
She said the College of Graduate Studies has 70 programs for masters and 12 for doctorate.
Ahmad Al-Jeemaz, Deputy CEO of KNPC's Mina Abdullah Refinery, said the largest segment of employees were engineers.
Cooperation between KNPC and KU's College of Graduate Studies aims at improving the decision-making of KNPC's employees who were considering to continue their studies
