The spill of chemicals at the main tower of the University of Technology
Sydney occurred before 11 a.m. (local time) on Thursday.
Police said emergency services were called to the university on Broadway after the incident involving the storage of a chemical has become potentially unstable.

A NSW Fire and Rescue spokeswoman told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) three towers of the university on Broadway have been evacuated and police bomb squad experts are working out the best way to neutralize the substance.
