The Syndicate of Journalists decided on Friday to postpone a meeting of its general assembly until April 1 as the needed quorum was incomplete.
under the law, the quorum is 25 percent of the syndicate members.
Of all 8,418 registered journalists, only 220 people attended, the syndicate's secretary general Gamal Abdel Rehim told MENA.
This is the second time for the syndicate to delay its general assembly meeting this month.
