The head of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) said a brief power failure at Cairo's Maspero building, the state media headquarters, forced three TV channels off air.
In a statement on Saturday, Essam el Amir ruled out sabotage as the cause of the incident.
He added that the TV transmission is back to normal.
