Head of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) Essam el Amir dismissed Tuesday reports claiming the disruption of state TV's broadcast.
An electric shock led to a power cut, but did not affect the broadcast, Amir said.
Power generators covered up the electricity outage, he said.
